The Moon

Full Moon occurs on 4th  at h 09-12 I.S.T.

Last Quarter occurs on 11th at h 1-01 I.S.T.

New Moon occurs on 18th  at h 10-07 I.S.T.

First Quarter occurs on 26th at h. 13-20 I.S.T.

 

 

The Lunar Crescent becomes first visible after the New Moon day in the evening of 19th.

               The Moon is at Perigee or nearest to the Earth on 7th and at Apogee or farthest from the Earth on 23rd

The Moon passes about 3º south of Saturn after midnight on 10th, about 2º south of Neptune on 11th, about 1½º north of Jupiter on 14th, about 2º north of Uranus on 15th, about 4½º north of Mercury  on 17th, about 3½º  north of Venus on 22nd , about 4º north of Mars on 22nd.

The Earth

The Earth is at Summer Solstice on 21st.

The Planets

Visibility of Planets:

Mercury: The planet rises about 1½ hours to 1 hour before sunrise upto 20th of the month.   From 21st planet is too close to the Sun to be visible. The planet is at perihelion or nearest to the Sun in its orbit on 28th.

Venus:  The planet sets about 3½ hours to 3 hours after sunset upto third quarter of the month and about 3 hours to 2½ hours after it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Greatest Eastern Elongation of about 45º from the Sun on 4th.

Mars:  The planet sets before local midnight throughout the month. It sets about 2 hours to 2½ hours before local midnight upto third quarter of the month and about 2½ hours to 3 hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is at Aphelion or farthest to the Sun in its orbit on 1st.

Jupiter:  The planet rises about 3 hours to 2½ hours after local midnight upto first quarter of the month, about 2½ hours to 2 hours after it upto second quarter of the month, about 2 hours to 1½ hours after it upto  third quarter of the month and 1½ hours to 1 hour after it for the remaining days of the month.

Saturn: The planet rises before local midnight throughout the month. It rises close to local midnight to about ½ hour before it upto first quarter of the month, about ½ hour to 1 hour before it upto second quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 1½ hours before it upto third quarter of the month and about 1½ hours to 2 hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The motion of the planet becomes Retrograde with respect to the Earth from 17th.

Uranus: The planet rises before sunrise throughout the month. It rises about 1 hour to 1½ hours before sunrise upto first quarter of the month, about 1½ hours to 2 hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 2 hours to 2½ hours before it upto third quarter of the month and about 2½ hours to 3 hours before it for the remaining days of the month.

Neptune: The planet rises about 1 hour to ½ hour after local midnight upto first quarter of the month, about ½ hour after local midnight time to close to it upto second quarter of the month, close to local midnight time to about ½ hour before it upto third quarter of the month and about ½ hour to 1 hour before it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Quadrature with the Sun on 19th.

 

Conjunction of Planets:

Mercury passes about 3º south of Uranus on 4th.

Mercury passes about 4½º North of Aldebaran on 17th.
