The Moon

Last Quarter occurs on 2ndat h.12–54 I.S.T 

New Moon occurs on 10that h. 16–23 I.S.T

First Quarter occurs on 18th at h.9–24 I.S.T

Full Moon occurs on 25that h. 0–10 I.S.T

 

 

The Lunar Crescent becomes first visible after the New Moon day in the evening of 11th.

The Moon is at Apogee or farthest from the Earth on 8th. The Moon is at Perigee or nearest to the Earth on 23rd.

The  Moon  passes about 4½º south of Jupiter on 1st, about 4½º south of Neptune on 3rd, about 2½º south of Uranus on 7th, about 4º north of  Mercury on 10th, about 1½º north of Venus on 12th, about 3º north of Mars on 14th, about 4º south of Saturn on 27th, about 4½º south of Jupiter after midnight of 28th  i.e. on 29th, and about 4½º south of  Neptune on 30th.

Eclipse 

Annular Eclipse of the Sun: The phenomenon will occur on 10th June, 2021. The eclipse begins at h.13–43 I.S.T. and ends  at h.18–41 I.S.T. The eclipse will not be visible in India.

The Earth

The Earth is at Summer Solstice on 21st.

The Planets

Visibility of Planets:

Mercury: The planet sets about 1 hour to ½ hour after sunset upto 3rd day of the month. Thereafter it becomes too close to the Sun to be visible upto 20th of the month. The planet is at Aphelion or farthest from the Sun in its orbit on 10thand it is in Inferior Conjunction with the Sun on 11th. Thereafter it rises about ½ hour to1½ hours before sunrise and remains visible till the beginning of morning twilight for the remaining days of the month. The motion of the planet becomes Direct with respect to the Earth from 23rd.

Venus: The planet sets about1½ hours after sunset throughout the month. The planet is at Perihelion or nearest to the Sun in its orbit on 12th.

Mars: The  planet sets after sunset throughout the month. It sets about 3 hours to 2½ hours after sunset upto third quarter of the month and about 2½ hours to 2 hours after it forthe remaining days of the month.

Jupiter: The planet rises before local midnight throughout the month. The planet rises about hour to ½ hour to 1 hour before it upto first quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 1½ hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 1½ hours to 2 hours before it upto third quarter of the month and about 2 hours to 2½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The motion of the planet becomes Retrograde with respect to the Earth from 20th.

Saturn: The planet rises before local midnight throughout the month. It rises about 1½ hours to 2 hours before it upto first quarter of the month, about 2 hours to 2½ hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 2½  hours to 3 hours before it upto third quarter of the month and about 3  hours to 3½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month.

Uranus: The planet rises after local midnight throughout the month. It rises about 3 hours to 2½ hours after local midnight upto second quarter of the month and from about 2½ hours to 1½ hours after it for the remaining days of the month.

Neptune: The planet rises from about 1 hour after local midnight to close to it upto first quarter of the month, from close to local midnight time to ½ hour before it upto third quarter of the month and about ½ hour to 1½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Quadrature with the Sun on 14th. Its motion becomes Retrograde with respect to the Earth from 26th.

Conjunction of Planets:

Mars passes about 5½0 south of Pollux (Punarbasu) on 2nd.

Venus passes about 5½0 south of Pollux (Punarbasu) on 22nd.
