The Moon passes about 4½0 north of Neptune on 10th after midnight of 9th, about 6½0 north of Saturn on 10th, about 5½0 north of Mars on 12th, about 5½0 north of Uranus on 14th, about 2½0 north of Mercury on 17th, about 2½0 north of Jupiter on 17th, about ½0 north of Venus on 18th. The Earth The Earth is at Summer Solstice on 21st. The PlanetsVisibility of Planets: Mercury: The planet sets after sunset throughout the month. The planet sets about 1½ hours to 2 hours after sunset upto second quarter of the month, about 2 hours to 1½ hours after it upto third quarter of the month and about 1½ hours to 1 hour after it for the remaining days of the month. It is in Greatest Western Elongation of about 24½º from the Sun on 16th. The motion of the planet becomes Retrograde with respect to the Earth from 29th. Venus: The planet sets about 2½ hours after sunset throughout the month. Mars: The planet rises about 2 hours to 2½ hours before sunrise throughout the month. Jupiter: The planet sets about 3 hours to 2½ hours after sunset upto first quarter of the month, about 2½ hours to 2 hours after it upto third quarter of the month and about 2 hours to 1½ hours after it for the remaining days of the month. Saturn: The planet rises about 1½ hours to 1 hour after local midnight time upto second quarter of the month, about 1 hour to ½ hour after it upto third quarter of the month and about ½ hour after local midnight time to close to midnight time for the remaining days of the month. Uranus: The planet is too close to the Sun to be visible upto 7th of the month. From 8th of the month the planet becomes visible and rises about 1 hour to 1½ hours before sunrise upto second quarter of the month, about 1½ hours to 2 hours before it upto third quarter of the month and about 2 hours to 2½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month. Neptune: The planet rises about 1½ hours to 1 hour after local midnight time upto first quarter of the month, about 1 hour to ½ hour after local midnight time upto second quarter of the month, close to local midnight time to ½ hour before it upto third quarter of the month and about ½ hour to 1 hour before it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Quadrature with the Sun on 26th. Conjunction of Planet: Jupiter passes about 6½0 south of Pollux (Punarvasu) on 4th. Venus passes about 50 south of Pollux (Punarvasu) on 8th. Venus passes about 1½0 north of Jupiter on 9th. Mercury passes about 7½0 south of Pollux (Punarvasu) on 24th.
