ASTRONOMICAL BULLETIN FOR MARCH 2026 The MoonÂ
The Moon passes about 20 south of Mercury on 17th, about 1½0 north of Mars on 18th, about 40 north of Neptune on 19th, about 50north of Saturn on 19th, about 4½0 north of Venus on 20th just after sunset, about 5½0 north of Uranus on 23rd, about 40 north of Jupiter on 26th. Eclipse Lunar Eclipse: The Total lunar eclipse will occur on 3rd. The eclipse begins at 15 - 20 I.S.T. and ends at 18 - 48 I.S.T. The eclipse will be visible in India. The Earth The Earth is at Vernal Equinox on 20th. The PlanetsVisibility of Planets: Mercury: From 2nd of the month planet is too close to the Sun to be visible upto 12th of the month. From 13th it become visible in the eastern sky, it rises about 1 hour to 1½ hours before sunrise for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Inferior conjunction with Sun on 7th of the month. The motion of the planet becomes Direct with respect to Earth from 21st. Venus: The planet sets about 1 hour to 1½ hours after sunset throughout the month. Mars: The planet is too close to the sun to be visible throughout the month. The planet approaches the Perihelion position on its orbit or reaches nearest to the Sun on 26th. Jupiter: The planet sets about 3 hours to 2½ hours after local midnight time upto the first quarter of month, about 2½ hours to 2 hours after it upto the second quarter of month, about 2 hours to 1½ hours after it upto the third quarter of month, about 1½ hours to 1 hour after it for the remaining days of the month. The motion of the planet becomes Direct with respect to Earth from 11th. Saturn: The planet sets about 1½ hours to 1 hour after sunset upto 10th of the month. From 11th planet is too close to the Sun to be visible. The planet is in conjunction with Sun on 25th of the month. Uranus: The planet sets about ½ hour to 1 hour before local midnight time upto first quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 1½ hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 1½ hours to 2 hours before it upto third quarter of the month and about 2 hours to 2½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month. Neptune: The planet sets about 1½ hours to 1 hour after sun set upto first quarter of the month. From 10th planet is too close to the Sun to be visible.  The planet is in conjunction with Sun on 22th of the month. Conjunction of Planet: Venus passes about 10 north of Saturn on 9th. Mercury passes about 40 north of Mars on 14th. Â
