The Moon

New Moon occurs on 3^rdat h 00-19 I.S.T.	First Quarter occurs on 11^th at h. 00-25 I.S.T.
Full Moon occurs on 17^th at h 16-56 I.S.T.	Last Quarter occurs on 24^th at h 13-33 I.S.T.

The Lunar Crescent becomes first visible after the New Moon day in the evening of 4^th.
The Moon is at Apogee or farthest from the Earth on 3^rd and 30^th and at Perigee or nearest to the Earth on 17^th.

The Moon passes about 2⁰ south of Mercury on 3^rd, about 3⁰ south of Venus on 6^th, about ½⁰north of Saturn on 14^th before midnight, about ½⁰north of Neptune on 15^th before midnight, about 4½⁰north of Uranus on 19^th before midnight, about 6⁰north of Jupiter on 21^th, about 4⁰ north of Mars on 24^th.

Eclipse

Solar Eclipse: Annular solar eclipse will occur on 2^nd October. The eclipse begins at 21-13 I.S.T., 2^nd October and ends at 03-17 I.S.T., 3^rd October. Annular phase begins at 22- 24 I.S.T., 2^nd October and ends at 02-06 I.S.T., 3^rd October. The eclipse will not be visible in India.

The Planets

Visibility of Planets:

Mercury: The planet is too close to the sun to be visible upto 22^nd of the month. From 23^rd it become visible in the western sky, it sets about ½ hour to 1 hour after sunset for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in superior conjunction with the Sun on 1^st. The planet is at aphelion or farthest from the Sun in its orbit on 23^rd.

Venus: The planet sets about 1½ hours to 2 hours after sun set upto third quarter of the month, about 2 hours to 2½ hours after it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is at aphelion or farthest from the Sun in its orbit on 30^th.

Mars: The planet rises about ½ hour to 1 hour before local midnight upto second quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 1½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month.

Jupiter: The planet rises about 2½ hour to 3 hours before local midnight upto first quarter of the month, about 3 hours to 3½ hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 3½ hours to 4 hours before it upto third Quarter of the month, about 4 hours to 4½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The motion of the planet becomes Retrograde with respect to the Earth from 9^th.

Saturn: The planet sets about 1½ hours to 2 hours before sunrise upto first quarter of the month, about 2 hour to 2½ hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 2½ hours to 3 hours before it upto third quarter of the month about 3 hours to 4 hours before it for the remaining days of the month.

Uranus: The planet rises about 2½ hours to 2 hours after sunset upto first quarter of the month, 2 hours to 1½ hours after it upto third quarter of the month and 1½ hours to 1 hour after it for the remaining days of the month.

Neptune: The planet sets about ½ hour to 1 hour before sunrise upto first quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 1½ hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 1½ hours to 2 hours before it upto third quarter of the month about 2 hours to 3 hours before it for the remaining days of the month.

Conjunction of Planet:

Mercury passes about 2½⁰north of Spica (Chitra) on 9^th_.

Mars passes about 5½º south of Pollux (Punarvasu) on 21^st.

Venus passes about 3º north of Antares (Jyestha) on 26^th.
