The Moon

Full Moon occurs on 7^th at h 09-18 I.S.T.

Last Quarter occurs on 13^th at h. 23-43 I.S.T.

New Moon occurs on 21^th at h 17-55 I.S.T.

First Quarter occurs on 29^th at h 21-51 I.S.T.

The Lunar Crescent becomes first visible after the New Moon day in the evening of 22^nd.

The Moon is at Perigee or nearest to the Earth on 8^th and at Apogee or farthest from the Earth on 24^th.

The Moon passes about 4⁰ north of Saturn on 6^th, about 3⁰ north of Neptune on 6^th, about 5 ½⁰north of Uranus on 10^t^h, about 4 ½⁰north of Jupiter on 14^th, about 4⁰ south of Venus on 20^th, about 4 ½⁰south of Mars on 23^rd, about 2 ½⁰ south of Mercury on 23^rd.

The Planets

Visibility of Planets:

Mercury: The planet is too close to the sun to be visible upto 2^nd of the month. From 3^rd it become visible in the western sky, it sets about ½ hour to 1 hour after sunset upto second quarter of the month and about 1 hour to 1 ½ hours after sunset time for the remaining days of the month.The planet is at aphelion or farthest from the Sun in its orbit on 10^th. It is in Greatest Eastern Elongation of about 24 º from the Sun on 30^th.

Venus: The planet rises about 1 ½ hours to 1 hour before sunrise throughout the month. The planet approaches the Perihelion position on its orbit or reaches nearest to the Sun on 2^nd.

Mars: The planet sets about 1 ½ hours to 1 hour after sunset throughout the month.

Jupiter: The planet rises before local midnight throughout the month. The planet rises about ½ hour to 1 hour before local midnight upto second quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 1 ½ hours before it upto third Quarter of the month and about 1 ½ hours to 2 hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Quadrature with the Sun on 17^th.

Saturn: The planet sets before sunrise throughout the month. The planet sets about ½ hour to 1 hour before sunrise upto first quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 2 hours before it upto third quarter of the month and about 2 hours to 3 hours before it for the remaining days of the month.

Uranus: The planet rises after sunset throughout the month. The planet rises about 3 hours to 2 ½ hours after sunset upto first quarter of the month, 2 ½ hours to 2 hours after it upto third quarter of the month and 2 hours to 1 hour after it for the remaining days of the month.

Neptune: The planet sets before sunrise throughout the month. The planet sets about ½ hour to 1 hour before sunrise upto first quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 1 ½ hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 1 ½ hours to 2 hours before it upto third quarter of the month about 2 hours to 2 ½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month.

Conjunction of Planet:

Mercury passes about 2⁰north of Spica (Chitra) on 2^nd_.

Mercury passes about 2⁰ south of Mars on 21^st.

Jupiter passes about 6 ½ º south of Pollux (Punarvasu) on 27^th.
