The Moon

Last Quarter occurs on 6^th at h 19-18 I.S.T.	New Moon occurs on 14^th at h 23-25 I.S.T.
First Quarter occurs on 22^nd at h. 08-59 I.S.T	Full Moon occurs on 29^th at h 01-54 I.S.T.

The Lunar Crescent becomes first visible after the New Moon day in the evening of 15^th.
The Moon is at Apogee or farthest from the Earth on 10^th and at Perigee or nearest to the Earth on 26^th.

The Moon passes about 3½º north of Jupiter on 2^nd, about 3º north of Uranus on 2^nd before midnight, about 6½º north of Venus on 10^th, about ½º south of Mercury on 14^th, about 1º south of Mars on 15^th, about 3º south of Saturn on 24^th, about 1½º south of Neptune on 26^st, about 3º north of Jupiter on 29^th, about 3º north of Uranus on 30^th.

Eclipse

Solar Eclipse: Annular solar eclipse will occur on 14^th October. The eclipse begins at 20-34 I.S.T., 14^th October and ends at 02-26 I.S.T., 15^th October. Annular phase begins at 21- 42 I.S.T., 14^th October and ends at 01-17 I.S.T., 15^th October. The eclipse will not be visible in India.

Lunar Eclipse: The partial lunar eclipse will occur on 29^th October. The eclipse begins at 01-05 I.S.T. and ends at 02-24 I.S.T. The eclipse will be visible from beginning to end from all places of India.

The Planets

Visibility of Planets

Mercury: The planet rises about 1 hour before sunrise upto 6^th of the month. From 7^th planet is too close to the Sun to be visible. The planet is in Superior Conjunction with Sun on 20^th of the month.

Venus: The planet rises about 2 hours to 2½ hours after local midnight throughout the month. The planet is in Greatest Western Elongation of about 46° from the Sun on 24^th of the month.

Mars: The planet is too close to the Sun to be visible.

Jupiter: The planet rises about 2 hours to 1½ hours after sunset upto first quarter of the month, about 1½ hours to 1 hour after it upto third quarter of the month and about 1 hour after it close to sunset time for the remaining days of the month.

Saturn: The planet sets about 3 hours to 2½ hours after local midnight upto first quarter of the month, about 2½ hours to 2 hours after it upto second quarter of the month, about 2 hours to 1½ hours after it upto third quarter of the month about 1½ hours to 1 hours after it for the remaining days of the month.

Uranus: The planet rises about 2½ hours to 2 hours after sunset upto first quarter of the month, 2 hours to 1½ hours after it upto third quarter of the month and 1½ hours to ½ hour after it for the remaining days of the month.

Neptune: The planet sets about ½ hour to 1 hour before sunrise upto first quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 2 hours before it upto third quarter of the month about 2 hours to 3 hours before it for the remaining days of the month.

Conjunction of Planet:

Mercury passes about 2½º north of Spica (Chitra) on 2^nd.

Venus passes about 2½º south of Regulus (Magha) on 10^th.

Mercury passes about 3½º north of Spica (Chitra) on 18^th.

Mercury passes just south of Mars on 29^th.
