ASTRONOMICAL BULLETIN FOR OCTOBER 2025 The Moon
The Moon passes about 40 north of Saturn on 6th, about 30 north of Neptune on 6th, about 5 ½0 north of Uranus on 10th, about 4 ½0 north of Jupiter on 14th, about 40 south of Venus on 20th, about 4 ½0 south of Mars on 23rd, about 2 ½0 south of Mercury on 23rd. The PlanetsVisibility of Planets: Mercury: The planet is too close to the sun to be visible upto 2nd of the month. From 3rd it become visible in the western sky, it sets about ½ hour to 1 hour after sunset upto second quarter of the month and about 1 hour to 1 ½ hours after sunset time for the remaining days of the month.The planet is at aphelion or farthest from the Sun in its orbit on 10th. It is in Greatest Eastern Elongation of about 24 º from the Sun on 30th. Venus: The planet rises about 1 ½ hours to 1 hour before sunrise throughout the month. The planet approaches the Perihelion position on its orbit or reaches nearest to the Sun on 2nd. Mars: The planet sets about 1 ½ hours to 1 hour after sunset throughout the month. Jupiter: The planet rises before local midnight throughout the month. The planet rises about ½ hour to 1 hour before local midnight upto second quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 1 ½ hours before it upto third Quarter of the month and about 1 ½ hours to 2 hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Quadrature with the Sun on 17th. Saturn: The planet sets before sunrise throughout the month. The planet sets about ½ hour to 1 hour before sunrise upto first quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 2 hours before it upto third quarter of the month and about 2 hours to 3 hours before it for the remaining days of the month. Uranus: The planet rises after sunset throughout the month. The planet rises about 3 hours to 2 ½ hours after sunset upto first quarter of the month, 2 ½ hours to 2 hours after it upto third quarter of the month and 2 hours to 1 hour after it for the remaining days of the month. Neptune: The planet sets before sunrise throughout the month. The planet sets about ½ hour to 1 hour before sunrise upto first quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 1 ½ hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 1 ½ hours to 2 hours before it upto third quarter of the month about 2 hours to 2 ½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month.
Conjunction of Planet: Mercury passes about 20 north of Spica (Chitra) on 2nd. Mercury passes about 20 south of Mars on 21st. Jupiter passes about 6 ½ º south of Pollux (Punarvasu) on 27th.
