The Moon

Full Moon occurs on  2nd at h.02–35 I.S.T 

Last Quarter occurs on 10th at h. 06–10 I.S.T 

New Moon occurs on 17th at h. 01–01 I.S.T

First Quarter occurs on 23rd at h. 18–53 I.S.T

Full Moon occurs on  31st at h. 20–19 I.S.T

 

The Lunar Crescent becomes first visible after the New Moon day in the evening of 18th.

The Moon is at Apogee or farthest from the Earth on 3rd and 31st. The Moon is at Perigee or nearest to the Earth on 17th.

The Moon passes about ½º south of Mars on 3rd, about 3º south of Uranus on 4th, about 4½º north of Venus in the early hours of 14th, about 7º north of Mercury on 18th, about 2º south of Jupiter before midnight of 22nd, about 2½º south of Saturn on 23rd, about 4½º south of Neptune on 27th, about 3º south of Mars before midnight of 29th and about 3º south of Uranus in the evening of 31st.

The Planets

Visibility of Planets

Mercury: The planet sets about 1 hour to ½ hour after sunset upto 16th of the month. Thereafter it becomes too close to the Sun to be visible upto 29th of the month. Thereafter it again rises about 1 hour before sunrise for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Greatest Eastern Elongation of about 26° from the Sun on 1st. The motion of the planet becomes Retrograde with respect to the Earth from 14th.The planet is in Inferior Conjunction with the Sun on 25th.

Venus: The planet rises about 2½ hours to 3 hours after local midnight throughout the month. The planet is at Perihelion or nearest to the Sun in its orbit on 31st.

Mars: The planet rises about 1 hour to ½ hour after sunset upto first quarter of the month, from about ½ hour after sunset to close to sunset time upto second quarter of the month, being in Opposition with the Sun on 14th. Thereafter the planet sets from close to sunrise time to ½ hour before it upto third quarter of the month and about ½ hour to 1½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month.

Jupiter: The planet sets before local midnight throughout the month. It sets about ½ hour to 1 hour before local midnight upto first quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 1½ hours before it upto third quarter of the month and about 1½ hours to 2 hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Quadrature with the Sun on 11th.

Saturn: The planet sets about ½ hour after local midnight time to close to it upto first quarter of the month and from close to local midnight time to 1 hour before it upto third quarter of the month and about 1 hour to 2 hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Quadrature with the Sun on 18th.

Uranus: The planet rises about 1½ hours to 1 hour after sunset upto second quarter of the month, about 1 hour to ½ hour after it upto third quarter of the month and from about ½ hour after sunset to close to sunset time upto the end of the month. The planet is in Opposition with the Sun on 31st.

Neptune: The planet sets before sunrise throughout the month. It sets from about 1½ hours to 2½ hours before it upto third quarter of the month and about 2½ hours to 3½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month.
