Eclipse
Lunar Eclipse: The partial lunar eclipse will occur on 18th September. The eclipse begins at 07-42 I.S.T. and ends at 08-47 I.S.T. The eclipse will not be visible in India.
The Earth
The Earth is at Autumnal Equinox on 22nd.
The Planets
Visibility of Planets:
Mercury: The planet rises about 1 hour to 1½ hours before sunrise first quarter of the month, about 1½ hours to 1 hour before it upto second quarter the month, about 1 hour to ½ hour before it upto 19th of the month. From 20th planet is too close to the Sun to be visible. The planet is in Greatest Western Elongation of about 18° from the Sun on 5th. The planet is at Perihelion or nearest to the Sun in its orbit on 9th.
Venus: The planet sets about 1 hour to 1½ hours after sunset throughout the month.
Mars: The planet rises close to local midnight time to about ½ hour before local midnight time throughout the month.
Jupiter: The planet rises about ½ hour to 1 hour before local midnight upto first quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 1½ hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 1½ hours to 2 hours before it upto third Quarter of the month, about 2 hours to 2½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Quadrature with the Sun on 12th.
Saturn: The planet rises about ½ hour before sunset to close to sunset time upto first quarter of the month and its sets close to sunrise time to about ½ hour before it upto second quarter of the month, about ½ hour to 1 hour before it upto third quarter of the month and 1 hour to 1½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Opposition with the sun on 8th.
Uranus: The planet rises about 2 hours to 2½ hours before local midnight upto first quarter of the month, about 2½ hours to 3 hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 3 hours to 3½ hours before it upto third Quarter of the month, about 3½ hours to 4 hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The motion of the planet becomes Retrograde with respect to the Earth from 1st.
Neptune: The planet rises about 1 hour to ½ hour after sunset upto second quarter of the month, and about ½ hour after sunset close to sunset time upto third quarter of the month and sets close to sunrise time to about ½ hour before sunrise for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Opposition with the sun on 21st.
