The Moon

New Moon occurs on 3rd at h 07-26 I.S.T.

First Quarter occurs on 11th at h. 11-36  I.S.T.

Full Moon occurs on 18th at h 08-04 I.S.T.

Last Quarter occurs on 25th at h 00-20 I.S.T.

   

 The Lunar Crescent becomes first visible after the New Moon day in the evening of 4th..

The Moon is at Apogee or farthest from the Earth on 5th and at Perigee or nearest to the Earth on 18th.

The Moon passes about 50 north of Mercury on 1st, about 1½0 south of Venus on 5th, about ½0 north of Saturn on 17th, about ½0 north of Neptune on 18th, about 4½0 north of Uranus on 22th, about 60 north of Jupiter on 24th, about 50 north of Mars on 25th.

Eclipse 

Lunar Eclipse: The partial lunar eclipse will occur on 18th September. The eclipse begins at 07-42 I.S.T. and ends at 08-47 I.S.T. The eclipse will not be visible in India.

The Earth

The Earth is at Autumnal Equinox on 22nd.

The Planets

Visibility of Planets:

Mercury: The planet rises about 1 hour to 1½  hours before sunrise first quarter of the month, about 1½ hours to 1 hour before it upto second quarter the month, about 1 hour to ½ hour before it upto 19th of the month. From 20th planet is too close to the Sun to be visible. The planet is in Greatest Western Elongation of about 18° from the Sun on 5th. The planet is at Perihelion or nearest to the Sun in its orbit on 9th.

Venus: The planet sets about 1 hour to 1½ hours after sunset throughout the month.

Mars: The planet rises close to local midnight time to about ½ hour before local midnight time throughout the month.

JupiterThe planet rises about ½ hour to 1 hour before local midnight upto first quarter of the month, about 1 hour to 1½ hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 1½ hours to 2 hours before it upto third Quarter of the month, about 2 hours to 2½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Quadrature with the Sun on 12th.

Saturn: The planet rises about ½ hour before sunset to close to sunset time upto first quarter of the month and its sets close to sunrise time to about ½ hour before it upto second quarter of the month, about ½ hour to 1 hour before it upto third quarter of the month and 1 hour to 1½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Opposition with the sun on 8th.

Uranus: The planet rises about 2 hours to 2½ hours before local midnight upto first quarter of the month, about 2½ hours to 3 hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 3 hours to 3½ hours before it upto third Quarter of the month, about 3½ hours to 4 hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The motion of the planet becomes Retrograde with respect to the Earth from 1st.

NeptuneThe planet rises about 1 hour to ½ hour after sunset upto second quarter of the month, and about ½ hour after sunset close to sunset time upto third quarter of the month and sets close to sunrise time to about ½ hour before sunrise for the remaining days of the month. The planet is in Opposition with the sun on 21st.

Conjunction of Planet:

Mercury passes about ½0 north of Regulus (Magha) on 9th.

Venus passes about 2½º north of Spica (Chitra) on 17th
