ASTRONOMICAL BULLETIN FOR APRIL 2024 The Moon
The Moon passes about 20south of Mars on 6th, about 1½0 south of Saturn on 6th, about ½0 south of Neptune on 7th, about ½0 north of Venus on 7th, about 2½0 south of Mercury on 09th, about 40 north of Jupiter on 11th, about 3½0 north of Uranus on 11th. The Earth Solar Eclipse: Annular total eclipse of the sun will occur on 8th April 2024. The eclipse begins at 21-12 I.S.T. on 8th April and ends at 02-22 I.S.T. on 9th April. The eclipse will not be visible in India.The PlanetsVisibility of Planets:
Mercury: The planet sets about 1 hour to ½ hour after sunset upto 5th of the month. From 6th planet is too close to the Sun to be visible upto 20th of the month. From 21st it become visible in the eastern sky, it rises about ½ hour to 1 hour before sunrise for the remaining days of the month. The motion of the planet becomes Retrograde with respect to the Earth from 2nd. The planet is in Inferior conjunction with Sun on 12th of the month. The motion of the planet becomes Direct with respect to earth from 25th. The planet is at aphelion or farthest from the Sun in its orbit on 30th. Venus: The planet rises about 1 hour to ½ hour before sunrise upto 28th of the month. From 29th planet is too close to the Sun to be visible. Mars: The planet rises about 1½ hours to 2 hours before sunrise throughout the month. Jupiter: The planet sets about 2½ hours to 2 hours after sun set upto second quarter of the month and about 2 hours to 1½ hours after it upto third quarter of the month and about 1½ hours to 1 hour after it for the remaining days of the month. Saturn: The planet rises about 1½ hours to 2 hours before sunrise upto third quarter of the month and about 2 hours to 2½ hours before it for the remaining days of the month. Uranus: The planet sets about 3 hours to 2½ hours after sunset upto first quarter of the month, about 2½ hours to 2 hours after it upto second quarter of the month, about 2 hours to 1½ hours after it upto third quarter of the month and about 1½ hours to 1 hour after it for the remaining days of the month. Neptune: The planet is too close to the sun to be visible upto 5th of the month. From 6th the planet rises about 1 hour to 1½ hours before sunrise upto third quarter of the month and about 1½ hours to 2 hours before it for the remaining days of the month.
Conjunction of Planet: Venus passes about ½0 south of Neptune on 3rd. Mars passes about ½0 north of Saturn on 11th. Mercury passes about 20 north of Venus on 19th. Jupiter passes about ½0 south of Uranus on 20th. Mars passes about justsouth of Neptune on 29th.
